1. General Terms
Purchases from Blue Bottle Coffee are subject to the following return and refund policy terms. This policy applies to all purchases made through our online store and authorized retailers.
2. Returns
Unused merchandise is eligible for a refund within 30 days of purchase. All returns must meet the following conditions:
- Merchandise must be returned in its original packaging, with all packaging materials intact.
- Eligible merchandise includes, but is not limited to, accessories, apparel, brew tools, and kettles, etc.
- Unused and in sell-able condition, with all packaging intact, instructions included, and packaged the same as they were received.
Items not meeting these conditions are not eligible for a refund. Blue Bottle Coffee reserves the right to issue an account credit instead of a refund for items not returned in unused and sellable condition.
A flat fee of $9 for the return label will be deducted from the refund or credit amount. Initiate a return by contacting our support team at support@bluebottlecoffee.com with your order details.
3. Refunds
Refunds will be processed once returned items are received and inspected by our warehouse team:
Refunds typically take 3-10 business days to appear in your account after processing.
If you do not receive your refund within this timeframe, please check with your bank or card issuer before contacting our support team at support@bluebottlecoffee.com.
4. Exchanges
Exchanges are available for items that arrive damaged, defective, or stop functioning as intended within 30 days of receipt.
To request an exchange, please send detailed information and photos to support@bluebottlecoffee.com.
Exchanges are subject to availability of the replacement item.
5. Failed Deliveries
Packages marked as delivered by the carrier but not received by the customer must be reported within 7 days of the delivery notification.
Failed deliveries due to incorrect address or customer error are not eligible for replacement or refund.
6. Damage and Defects
For items damaged in transit or with factory defects, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
We will offer a replacement, return, or exchange for items with verified defects.
Cosmetic defects may qualify for a 10% refund if the item is kept by the customer.
7. Order Changes and Cancellations
Orders are processed rapidly to ensure quick delivery.
Changes or cancellations cannot be guaranteed once an order is placed.
Contact us immediately if an error is noticed, but note that quick processing may limit our ability to modify the order.
8. Large/Bulk Orders
Blue Bottle Coffee supplies products for individual consumer use only. Under no circumstances shall buyer re-sell any Blue Bottle Coffee product.
Orders of five or more of a single item may incur cosmetic damage and are ineligible for refund due to transit damage.
Report issues within 7 days of delivery.
9. Limitations of Liability
Blue Bottle Coffee is not responsible for:
- Lost or stolen packages confirmed as delivered.
- Shipping delays or failures due to incorrect address details.
- Damages from misuse or unauthorized use.
10. Dispute Resolution
All disputes arising from this policy shall be resolved through arbitration, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, held in San Francisco, California.
