Yes, you can! To brew 2 cups in the Blue Bottle Dripper, we recommend the following recipe:
- Coffee: 50g
- Water: 700g
- Grind: Coarser than usual, similar to a Chemex or French Press grind
- Brew Time: 3-4 minutes
Since you'll have 50g of coffee in the filter, use 100g of water for the bloom step. You'll notice that it is quite full of grounds when you start so there will really only be room for 100g of water anyway, which is fine, because your remaining pours will also be 100g each. It should take a little over 3 min to brew, but close to 4 is ok too. If it takes more than 4 min, coarsen your grind a little the next time. We brew this way in the office sometimes and it comes out great!
A caveat: a 24 ounce (700mL) carafe (like ours) will be quite full when you're done and you may spill a little on the initial pour into one of the mugs. If you have a larger container (I use the Chemex as a carafe in these instances), feel free to use that. It’ll give you a little more room to groove.
